BookJobs UK is an independent aggregator, not an employer or recruitment agency. We collect and display publicly available information about publishing jobs from UK publishers and literary organisations. We do not host applications, conduct interviews, or take part in hiring decisions for roles listed on the Site.

2. What we provide

The Site offers:

• A searchable directory of UK book publishing jobs
• Filters to browse by category, job type, location, and employer
• Links to external employer career pages and application systems
• Information about publishers and literary organisations active in the UK market

Listings are aggregated from public sources. We try to keep information current, but always confirm details with the employer before applying.

3. Your use of the Site

Permitted use

You may use BookJobs UK for personal, non-commercial purposes to discover jobs and learn about the UK publishing industry.

Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape or download job data for commercial reuse without our written permission
• Use automated tools to access the Site at scale without authorisation
• Attempt unauthorised access to the Site or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation or security

4. Job listings

Please note:

• We do not guarantee that listings are complete, accurate, or still open
• We are not the employer for any role shown on the Site
• Applications are handled by third parties, usually the employer or their ATS provider
• We are not responsible if a role is filled or removed without notice on the employer's site

5. Third-party links

The Site links to external websites, including publisher career pages and application platforms. We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites. Your use of those sites is at your own risk.

6. Privacy and cookies

7. Intellectual property

The Site's original content, design, and functionality are owned by BookJobs UK and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Job descriptions, company names, and logos remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed for information only.

You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the Site for the purposes described in these Terms. No other rights are granted.

8. Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under 18, use the Site with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

9. Copyright complaints

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please email [email protected] with:

• A description of the copyrighted work and the material you believe infringes it

10. Disclaimer

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site, including loss arising from inaccurate listings, removed postings, or third-party content.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Site shall not exceed £100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.

13. Suspension and termination

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
