Job Description

Role overview

Bloomsbury Publishing is home to Osprey Publishing, the world-leading military history publisher. We're launching a premium longform YouTube channel that brings Osprey's extensive catalogue of campaigns, tactics and historical analysis to life through engaging documentary-style video.

We're looking for a fixed-term Video Channel Editor to help support the delivery of high-quality video content as the channel moves from pilot phase to launch and beyond. Working closely with colleagues across audio, editorial and marketing, you'll play a central role in transforming Osprey's trusted publishing expertise into compelling content for a global audience. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced video editor to join a growing area of the business and help shape a new digital publishing format from the ground up.

The Video Channel Editor will sit at the centre of video production for Osprey's new YouTube channel, supporting content from script through to publication. This is a practical, hands-on role focused on producing engaging longform video content within an established editorial framework. Working with existing source material and in-house subject experts, you'll be responsible for editing videos, sourcing and sequencing visual assets, coordinating elements of production, and supporting the successful publication of content.

This is an opportunity to help establish a new digital publishing format within a globally recognised list. You’ll work closely with experienced editorial and audio colleagues, contributing to a growing area of the business and helping build a scalable, long-term content channel.
