Role overview
Join the fast-growing Ingram UK Wholesale team as a key link within our Sales and Product functions. In this newly-created role, you’ll support the team with both publishers and retailers, managing data accuracy, streamlining workflows, and strengthening the customer experience across the UK and international book supply chain.
As the Wholesale Sales Support Specialist, you will support the setup of new suppliers and retailers, troubleshoot challenges, and maintain accurate product and pricing data. You will help run and improve core business processes such as returns, shipping programs, and pricing promotions. Working closely with other internal teams across Ingram Content Group UK, such as Customer Care, Logistics, and Finance, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth operations and consistently high service levels to both our Retailer clients and Publisher partners.

Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to the IWUK Product team, publisher suppliers, IWUK Sales team, and retail customers.
- Coordinate IWUK operational processes, including retailer and publisher returns.
- Track performance and capture learnings to improve process consistency across business units and maintain best-practice documentation.
- Provide onboarding support for new retailers and publishers, liaising with Customer Care and Credit teams.
- Set up, monitor, and analyze retailer pricing promotions to drive product sales growth.
- Maintain data integrity across item and purchase order systems.
- Support in maintaining open cross-team communications, particularly in problem-solving complex processes.
- Support or lead on key projects and initiatives for the IWUK Sales and Product teams.
- Support the IWUK Product team in meeting fill rate, inventory turn, and returns targets.
- Collaborate with Marketing to equip Sales and Product teams with required materials.
- Liaise with Operations, Shipping, and Finance to support IWUK processes, including bespoke shipping rate quotes, maintenance of shipping programs, and communication to external partners.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of personal computing skills, including proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of ONIX or similar large data sources.
- Knowledge of an additional European language would be a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of the UK book industry supply chain.

Education
and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the book industry, or relevant sales/retail experience.
- 2+ years of proficiency in Word, Outlook, and strong Excel skills (formulas, data manipulation).
Physical Demands
- Ability to travel to Milton Keynes, Book Fairs, or Customer/Supplier trips if required.
