The internship programme offers a hands-on opportunity to be fully immersed in our team and work. You will be trained in the fundamentals of building a PR campaign from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Writing effective and convincing copy for press releases and email pitches
  • Building media and influencer lists
  • Social media management
  • Media liaison
  • Securing coverage
  • Creative brainstorming
  • Attending meetings where appropriate
  • Setting up publicity schedules such as interviews, book signings, and author events
  • Researching suppliers
  • Collating media coverage
  • Contributing to the success of a wide range of PR campaigns
  • Taking on your own responsibilities with team support

Skills

, Knowledge, and Experience Required

  • Demonstrable passion for books, culture, and/or the wider arts
  • Interest in and knowledge of the media, as well as social media/digital marketing/communications
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • A meticulous eye for detail
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment, with an enthusiastic team player attitude and a can-do approach

Desirable

  • Office experience
  • PR, marketing, journalism, arts, or books experience

Essential

Information

  • Place of work: Central London
  • Full address of placement: Penway Place, 2A Charing Cross Road, London, WC2H 0HF (nearest tubes: Leicester Square/Charing Cross)
  • Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday to Thursday (28 hours per week)
  • Internship Duration: Three months

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: £1,799 per month
