Everyone here is proud to be in the business of opening doors and minds.What you'll be doingThis is a rare opportunity to join the design department of award-winning publisher at a Junior Designer position.You’ll be supported by the Art Directors to develop your skills and work across the whole of Little, Brown’s publishing. Working on the below, plus more:Designing book covers across the whole Little, Brown Book Group list (from initial concepts through to final artwork)Preparing, art-working and supplying files for print and digital formats, working accurately to schedules and within budgetsAdapting existing covers to new formats and working on Special-sales specific projectsContributing to the creative development for established seriesStaying curious and up to date with design trends in publishing and beyond, bringing references and ideas into the teamAssisting the Art-Directors on their projects and tasksSupporting the design team across with ad-hoc tasksWho we are looking forWe’re looking for a talented, motivated and eager-to-learn designer to join the Little, Brown Design team. Somebody whose portfolio shows creative potential and a passion for book design whilst also having an interest in how design connects with different audiences.A good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is essential and an understanding of print production techniques if preferred.You’ll be comfortable working in a team and sharing your work, also collaborating and communicating with colleagues in editorial and other departments across the company. We’d love a strong grasp of typography and see you take pride in your attention to detail.
