Role overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our dynamic sales team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on nurturing and growing our relationships with key gift and online accounts. Working closely with the Gift & Special Sales Director, sales team, and our publishing partners, you will ensure that our book and gift products receive strong representation and support in the market.
This position is perfect for someone who has experience selling to specialist accounts in the UK market, thrives in a fast-paced, varied environment, and enjoys being part of a proactive, successful team. Abrams & Chronicle Books is the UK sales arm of two renowned US publishing houses: ABRAMS in New York and Chronicle Books in San Francisco. Based on a quiet street near Farringdon station in London, we represent a broad and award-winning range of books, gifts, games, and stationery. The publishers we represent include: Abrams, Chronicle Books, Galison, Mudpuppy, Ridley’s, Brass Monkey, Petit Collage, Batsford, Flying Eye, and the V&A with licenses such as Liberty, LEGO, Andy Warhol, Studio Ghibli, William Morris, and more.

Gift & Special Sales Director
Responsibilities
- Developing sales for key accounts and specialist accounts – including Postmark, National Trust, and Urban Outfitters.
- Managing our new gift shop collaboration with Chester Zoo.
- Growing and maintaining online accounts.
- Together with the Gift & Special Sales Director, formulating and executing sales strategies for your account base.
- Creating and delivering engaging presentations across our book and gift portfolios.
- Working alongside the Gift & Special Sales Director to organise gift trade shows.
- Collaborating with the Marketing & Publicity team to deliver comprehensive support for relevant accounts.
- Engaging in internal and external meetings.
- Ensuring new business accounts are contacted and followed up.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: From £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 25 days holiday per year, rising to 30 after five years.
