Job Description
Role overview
This role provides essential support to the NBNi MK Warehouse team, working under the supervision of the Team Leader. You will play a key part in ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment and dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Pick customer orders with a focus on high quality and productivity.
- Package and dispatch books.
- Operate and maintain forklift equipment.
- Supervise the unloading and loading of containers and trailers.
- Assist with goods inwards and outwards processes according to established procedures.
- Ensure outward shipments are clearly labelled and addressed correctly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the distribution area, goods inwards, loading bay, and yard.
- Assist in Quality Control processes.
- Remove waste materials from the site.
- Participate in regular stock takes as required.
- Adhere to set procedures in accordance with quality controls.
- Monitor and report the need for supply replenishment.
- Take responsibility for your own Health and Safety and be aware of factors affecting colleagues to maintain a safe environment.
- Immediately report any accidents or potential hazards to your Line Manager.
- Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the management team.
Requirements
- 6 months of experience in a warehouse environment.
- GCSEs or equivalent.
- Ability to operate a personal computer effectively.
- Reading comprehension.
- Writing skills.
- Basic math skills (arithmetic, addition, subtraction).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely and adhere to safety guidelines in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a group environment.
- Flexibility to multi-task based on workflow demands.
- Ability to meet and maintain production standards.
- Ability to maintain reasonably reliable attendance.
- Hold a valid counter-balance forklift truck license.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical Demands
- Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 20 kilos in full range of motion during the assigned shift.
- Ability to push/pull up to 20 kilos in a manufacturing environment during the assigned shift.
- Ability to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift.
- Ability to bend, kneel/squat, twist/turn, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift.
- Ability to work the designated shift, including overtime as required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights and weekends, and ability to travel as needed.
- Exposure to a wide range of temperatures.
