Distribution Operative - AM shift

• Pick customer orders with a focus on quality and productivity.
• Package and dispatch books.
• Operate and maintain forklift equipment.
• Supervise the unloading and loading of containers and trailers.
• Assist with goods inwards and outwards procedures.
• Ship goods outwards, ensuring correct labeling and addressing.
• Maintain a clean and orderly distribution area, including goods inwards, loading bay, and yard.
• Assist in Quality Control processes.
• Help remove waste materials from the site.
• Participate in regular stock takes as required.
• Adhere to set procedures and quality controls.
• Monitor and report necessary supply replenishments.
• Ensure personal Health and Safety and be aware of factors affecting colleagues to maintain a safe environment.
• Immediately report any accidents or potential hazards to your Line Manager.
• Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the management team.

• 6 months of experience in a warehouse environment.
• GCSEs or equivalent.
• Ability to operate a personal computer effectively.
• Reading comprehension.
• Writing skills.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely and adhere to safety guidelines in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a group environment.
• Flexibility and ability to multi-task based on workflow demands.
• Ability to meet and maintain production standards.
• Reasonably reliable attendance.
• Hold a valid counter-balance forklift truck license.
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.

• Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 20 kilos in full range of motion during the assigned shift.
• Ability to push/pull up to 20 kilos in a manufacturing environment during the assigned shift.
• Ability to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift.
• Ability to bend, kneel/squat, twist/turn, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift.
• Ability to work designated shifts, including overtime as required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which could include nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Exposure to a wide range of temperatures.
