Role overview
The AV & Events Assistant is the behind-the-scenes magic-maker bringing Hachette UK and HBG events to life — both on screen and in person. From producing unforgettable live events and author filmings to editing dynamic video content on DaVinci, Premiere Pro and After Effects, live-streaming experiences, crafting eye-catching marketing assets, sound design and delivering polished films, this role sits at the heart of creative storytelling.
Part producer, part creative technician, part problem-solver, you’ll use professional AV expertise to turn ideas into engaging experiences that captivate audiences, support authors, and elevate the Hachette brand across every platform. As important as the technical, strong people skills are just as essential to the role given the variety of different stakeholders you will work with.
