Role overview

We are looking for a motivated marketing professional to join our vibrant secondary marketing team within the Education Division on a fixed term basis. This role supports the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for key brands or subjects that drive awareness, adoption, and loyalty with OUP’s products and services. Working collaboratively with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, Editorial, Design, and Shared Services teams, the role uses customer insight, market intelligence, and performance data to deliver messaging and plans that meet commercial objectives and strengthen OUP’s position in the market.

The role holder is responsible for managing end-to-end campaign delivery, ensuring high-quality execution across channels, and continuously optimising activity to maximise impact, customer value, and return on investment.

Responsibilities

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

  • Support the development and execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Create campaign plans that define audiences, messaging, channels, timelines, and success measures
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, aligned to priorities, and to a high standard
  • Deliver effective campaigns across email, social, paid media, and web channels
  • Work with channel specialists to implement best practice and optimise performance
  • Use testing, targeting, and data to continuously improve results
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across product, sales, digital, and design teams
  • Support alignment of marketing activity with product launches and sales priorities
  • Track and analyse campaign performance against agreed KPIs
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve future activity
  • Manage campaign budgets accurately and maintain reporting trackers
  • Use customer insights and market research to shape messaging and campaign plans
  • Monitor competitor activity and emerging trends to identify opportunities

Requirements

  • A collaborative and detail-oriented marketer with experience in delivering campaigns and a strong interest in digital marketing and performance.
  • Experience of marketing processes and campaign delivery
  • Ability to analyse campaign performance and apply learnings
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to learn and adapt
  • Experience in education, publishing, or a related sector (desirable)
