We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our sales team as an Account Manager responsible for driving sales across key chain and independent bookshop accounts. This is a pivotal role within our sales team. Working alongside our Children's Specialist and reporting to the UK & Export Sales Director, you will lead the development and delivery of our independent bookshop sales strategy while managing a portfolio of key accounts. You will also oversee our relationship with Waterstones for our adult non-fiction publishing, ensuring our books receive strong visibility and support across the market.
The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on account management. You will work closely with our publishers, sales agents and internal teams to identify opportunities for growth, strengthen existing partnerships and champion our publishing programme across books, gifts and stationery. This position is perfect for someone who loves bookshops, enjoys building strong relationships and thrives in a fast-paced, varied environment as part of a proactive and successful team.
The publishers we represent include: Abrams, Chronicle Books, Batsford, V&A, Flying Eye, Enchanted Lion, Galison, Kana, SelfMadeHero, Riverside Press and Messy Press.

- Process and track orders, working closely with the Operations team to ensure strong stock availability and effective supply chain management
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Publicity team to deliver effective campaigns and tailored support for key accounts
- Participate in internal and external meetings, including publisher visits and seasonal sales conferences
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events and customer meetings
